She is also a business development consultant and has spoken at industry events and developed a series of training and development initiatives. She is a member of the Ballarat Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the Ballarat Courier newspaper.

Sue Smith
Formerly Managing Director of STA Travel, Sue Smith is a seasoned traveller, having visited more than 50 countries, and can speak more than four languages. Sue is the driving force behind STA Travel's growth, both locally and globally and is Chairperson of the STA Travel Trust Board. Sue moved to Australia from Malaysia in 1978 to continue her tertiary education and then began her career with the airline company, TAA.

Kathryn Read
At 24 years of age, Kathryn Read is Victoria's youngest female bookmaker. She obtained her bookmaker's licence back in 1999, at the age of 21. This unique position has led to many speaking opportunities with industry organisations and national media exposure. Kathryn is an active industry participant, regularly tabling ideas to the Victorian Racing Club and offering promotional ideas to Victorian sports radio stations.
