Heather Chong

Heather Chong is CEO of Qew Orchards, an apricot orchard in the Coal River Valley. Heather manages the administration of the 47,000-tree orchard and is responsible for marketing the fruit, overseeing the quality assurance systems and managing the packing shed. Heather is also President of the Tasmanian Stonefriut Association, director of the Rivers and Waters Supply Commission and a member of the Food Industry Council of Tasmania and Australian Women in Agriculture.

Anne Cabalzar

Anne Cabalzar is the Director of Nursing at Mersey Community Hospital. Prior to her promotion to the position in 2000, Anne coordinated the Mersey's stringent accreditation program and assisted five other hospitals with their accreditation. Anne is a member of the Tasmanian Enrolled Nurse Training Steering Committee and is studying by distance education through Edith Cowan University.

Judy Travers has more than 30 years experience with the Tasmanian Department of Education. She has worked in a variety of positions from Teacher to Principal, District Superintendent and Director. Judy is now Director of the new Centre of Excellence in Online Learning called e-magine where she works to build the capacity of students and adults to use information and communication technology to improve teaching and learning.

The sudden loss of a close friend prompted Alison Stubbs to follow her dream of owning a business. Alison started Freycinet Adventures with her husband in 1998. Three years after the success of their adventure tourism business, they launched Strahan Adventures and recently purchased the Freycinet Fairway Cottage in Coles Bay. The business has achieved great success over the past six years, with an annual turnover growth rate of 30 per cent.
