Having completed an MBA and BA, Marisa's previous roles include working for the Postgraduate Dean of Medicine, Cambridge; the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners; and the Agency for Aged Care Standards & Accreditation.

Associate Professor Karen Woolley runs ProScribe Medical Communications, a medical writing company servicing the highly specialised and regulated area of drug development. Her business helps academic, biotech and pharma clients prepare documents they need to have new drugs approved for sale and educate prescribers about new drugs. Karen leads a team of six PhD medical writers in Noosa, Sydney, Tokyo. Karen also lectures in medical writing at two universities and serves as a director on three drug, science and biotech company boards.
